Team First Asia leaders convene for a virtual get-together
With the rising impact of COVID-19 being felt worldwide and across industries, business leaders need to be agile and resilient to mitigate losses. To provide a platform to talk about both the challenges and the opportunities created by the crisis, the Team First Asia Kumustahan was organized last August 07.
Held in place of the annual Management Board Forum, the event was attended by the officers and managers from the different Team First Asia companies. The teams shared their milestones, accomplishments, and plans, as they continue to survive and thrive during the pandemic.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of each company’s Profit Center Manager. They talked about their company’s financial performance in the recent fiscal year, as well as the policies and initiatives they implemented to continue serving their customers and communities. They also discussed the steps they have taken to ensure that their respective employees were cared for and supported as valuable members of the Team First Asia family.
In his segment, Team First Asia President Brian Vincent L. Belen, Ph.D. highlighted how the network has been very responsive during this period of uncertainty in carrying out bold and strategic actions to make up for lost ground.
“We’ve seen how the group, along with its subsidiaries, have all had to weather different challenges to bring us to where we are today. The best thing about it is that in spite of all those difficulties, we’re still here. In this environment, a lot of things are not within our control, but we have the upper hand to react to those situations. Hence, we have to be proactive in terms of how we address the evolving circumstances,” said Dr. Belen.
Meanwhile, Team First Asia Chairman Mr. Saturnino G. Belen reminded the group of some lessons from the past that will help them maneuver the road to the future.
“I’m glad that our diversified operations during the pandemic have served us well and will continue to serve us well. And with that, it’s good to be reminded that we are strong as a group because our business units are individually strong. Similarly, our business units are strong because we are individually strong,” attested by Mr. Saturnino Belen.
The recently concluded Kumustahan was spearheaded by the Team First Asia Executive Leadership together with the Central Corporate Communication and Human Resources Management and Development departments of First Asia Venture Capital, Inc.
