Brainsparks partners with DLSU SME for Technology Impact 2017


Brainsparks partnered with De La Salle University (DLSU) Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) for the Technology Impact Summit (TIS) 2017, an event that brings together top tech experts in the country to promote awareness on the current advancements in technology last April 1, 2017 at DLSU – Manila.

Among the speakers were Diosdado ‘Dado’ Banatao, coined as “Father of Semiconductors”, managing partner of Tallwood Venture Capital; Artie Lopez, Co-Founder of Brainsparks; Paolo Espiritu, Former DOST Microsatellite Engineer, CEO of Narra3D.ph; Christopher David, Co-founder of Veer Immersive Technologies; Joel Dacuma, Head Organizer of CoderDojo; Erick Chua, Founder of Shapecloud; Gian de la Rama, CEO of InnoVantage; Ed Samonte, Co-founder of Circuitrocks and Tyrone Hodges, CEO of THMarc Consultancy. The topics include Virtual Reality, Internet of Things, 3D Printing, Aerospace Engineering, Application Development, Machine Learning and Biomedical Engineering.

Aside from listening to the talks, the participants had the opportunity to network with representatives of different startups present in the event.

The Technology Innovation Summit (TIS) is just one of the initiatives that Brainsparks supports to help aspiring student innovators and entrepreneurs particularly those in the field of technology. As a business incubator and accelerator, Brainsparks has been active in addressing the country’s development issues by delivering workshops to hundreds of students, faculty, professionals, and founders in partnership with institutions such as Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to name a few.
