Fastech honors key industry partners at 35th Year Thanksgiving Night
Fastech Synergy Philippines Inc., a leading Philippine semiconductor manufacturing company, invited leaders from the electronics industry to celebrate 35 years of providing world-class manufacturing solutions. As part of its celebration, Fastech honored its key industry partners, suppliers, and employees in a Thanksgiving Night recently staged at The Palms Country Club, Alabang, Muntinlupa City last September 20, 2018.
During his welcome remarks, Fastech President Engr. Allan P. Timonera shared the story of Fastech as it grew from a small manufacturing company to a listed company on the Singapore Stock Exchange. According to him, the last 35 years has taught them that times and the industry can be very unpredictable. However, Fastech has always been up to that challenge. He is excited about how technology will continue to evolve and how Fastech will be playing a part in that future.
On the other hand, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña congratulated the awardees and expressed his hopes in reinforcing and strengthening the talent in the region."I think we should work together so that policies that would encourage innovation that would put into good use the resources that we have, particularly the human resources that we are developing, should be put into place," the secretary said. He commended Fastech Chairman Mr. Saturnino G. Belen, Jr. for establishing FAITH Colleges, which has become known for technology and engineering education that are grounded on human values, and for promoting industry-academe ties.
Team First Asia President, Dr. Brian Belen, also spoke on the group’s consciousness of industry-academe linkages and the importance of this to Fastech’s success moving forward. “A key strategy in this regard, has been our advocacy for even closer industry-academe linkages as a means to help the Philippines move up the value chain in electronics...We are confident that with your continued support and partnership in fostering these linkages, Fastech will do its part to keep the Philippine people among the best in the world when it comes to working on and creating technology products.”
The main highlight of the thanksgiving celebration was the recognition of Ten of Fastech’s Key Strategic Partners, who were acknowledged for their support and cooperation over the years.
Microsemi—a subsidiary of Microchip Technology Inc., and also a US-based USD 8 billion dollar listed company—was awarded as Fastech’s leading partner in global manufacturing.
The celebration was attended by over 150 guests from various industries such as Power and Renewable Energy, Aerospace, Telecommunications, and Automotive, all being served by Fastech.
