Team First Asia mobilizes donations for Taal relief efforts
Team First Asia has mobilized donations across its affiliate companies to provide direct relief to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption as well as to assist government and private groups leading relief drives.
For instance, Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI), the social development arm of the network, has to date provided cash and in-kind donations, which included food items such as rice, canned goods, coffee, biscuits, milk, and eggs, among others. It has also immediately donated clothing, toiletries, facemasks, blankets, and sleeping mats to thousands of victims in evacuation areas.
On the other hand, FAITH Colleges through the FAITH Center for Extension Services (FACES) and Diwa Learning Systems Inc. initiated their own relief operations for their students and employees who were greatly affected by the volcanic eruption. Some members of the FAITH Community were even housed temporarily at ASEAN Residences, the school’s dormitory.
Other affiliate companies like Fastech, AFreight, Omni Aviation, and Limapark Hotel also organized employee donation drives that yielded various quantities of other necessities. Tokyo Medical University, a partner of FAITH’s College of Allied Health Sciences, also extended their generosity.
Moreover, FACES continues to work with partner organizations and local government units (LGUs) engaged in rehabilitation efforts.
