AFREIGHT College Scholarship Program Now Open to Relatives of Singapore-based OFWs

In line with Afreight Singapore’s 25th anniversary, the Afreight “Pa-Iskolar” Program has been extended to the relatives of the company’s Singapore-based customers. For school year 2018-2019, Afreight, in partnership with First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH COLLEGES) in Batangas, will be granting full college scholarships to successful applicants. The grant covers tuition fees and accommodations of scholars who are dependents of the company’s OFW clients.

The “Pa-Iskolar” scholarship program started in 2008, giving scholarships to relatives of Hong Kong-based OFWs. As of school year 2016-2017, the program has a total of 85 scholars coming from different provinces including Batangas, Laguna, Mindoro, Ifugao, and Antique. It already produced 32 successful graduates, one of them, a Cum Laude.

For 25 years, Afreight Cargo PTE Ltd has been serving the cargo needs of Filipino workers in Singapore. It was established in 1993 to engage in door-to-door cargo forwarding after the success of Afreight’s network in Hong Kong.
