FAITH Colleges braves the new school year

Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic forced Philippine schools to adopt new practices and upgrade their remote learning capabilities. As the new academic year begins, FAITH Colleges has guaranteed its students an engaging online learning experience through its investment in educational technology and strengthened capacity necessitated by the current situation.

For S.Y. 2021-2022, FAITH Colleges continues to implement blended learning, which is a mix of online synchronous classes and offline asynchronous sessions. However, students who have limited to zero access to the internet and devices may opt to learn using printed modules developed strategically for home-based learning. 

For subjects that require laboratory hours, the school has been using platforms that allow students to remotely access the computer units on campus. This enabled instructors to monitor students’ execution of concepts taught in real-time.

While many other academic institutions scrambled to find a way to effectively operate and educate amid this modern-day pandemic, FAITH Colleges is lucky to have been at the forefront of using technology in the classroom. As far back as 2003, the school prided itself on being a pioneer in the country to deliver online learning using Genyo e-Learning, a complete and safe learning management system. This provided students an opportunity to increase their knowledge on academic subjects through interactive, curriculum-based, and expert-guided content, which they can access anytime, anywhere, and on any device.

As it is likely that some form of distance learning will continue in the coming years, FAITH Colleges has been supporting their faculty members by providing them with professional and personal development trainings and workshops.

Aware of how co-curricular activities can help diminish anxious feelings caused by possible academic demands and current events, the school has designed non-academic virtual events and initiatives to help students handle the strains and stresses of the pandemic. 

With more than a year spent in distance learning, FAITH Colleges reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the delivery of accessible and quality education that places students’ needs at the front and center.
