Fastech, FAITH Colleges co-host Green ICT Forum 2019

Fastech Synergy Philippines Inc. and FAITH Colleges together with the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation Inc. (SEIPI) co-organized this year’s Green ICT Forum at the Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE) on June 1, 2019, at SMX Convention Center, Manila, Philippines.

The summit’s theme this year was “Green ICT and R&D for National Progress.” The event provided a platform for comprehensive discussion on the sustainable use, manufacturing, and development of Information and Communication Technology (or Green ICT). With technology and electronics playing an increasingly significant role across the world, the forum’s ultimate goal was to promote a mindset of sustainability for ICT.

This year’s topics such as “The Future of Manufacturing Technologies: Industry-driven Concept,” “Society 5.0,” “Industry 4.0,” “Practical Approach to Smart Factory,” “Green Power,” “Decentralized Energy Generation using Next Generation Solar Systems,” and “Sustainability and Green Initiatives of Analog Devices” were covered at the event.

This year’s speakers included Mr. Osamu Namikawa, Senior Manager for Environmental Affairs from the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA); Mr. Berthold Arweiler, Head of AIT MA Smart Factory from Continental Temic; Mr. Rhett V. Ramos, Asia IT Director from Allegro MicroSystems Philippines, Inc.; Mr. Olaf Gresens, President of Merlin Solar Technologies, Inc.; Mr. Carlos Lorenzo L. Vega, Vice President for Power Marketing and Trading from First Gen Corporation; Ms. Florence Galindo, EH&S Manager from Analog Devices Philippines; Mr. Saturnino G. Belen, Jr., President of FAITH Colleges; and Dr. Danilo Lachica, President of SEIPI.
