Spartans! Brace yourself for the LIMA Beast/Sprint 2019

The Spartan SEA Regional Series kicks off with the LIMA Beast/Sprint 2019 on 03-04 May 2019 at the Lima Technology Center, Lipa-Malvar, Batangas. More than 4,000 racers from in and out of the country are expected to compete.

Spartan is a leader in the sport of obstacle racing, offering open heats for all fitness levels, as well as competitive and elite heats for those with something more to prove.

As the first out of three Southeast Asian series legs, LIMA Beast/Sprint is the stepping stone for the competitive Spartans to qualify for the Asia Pacific Championships on 25 August and World Championships on 28-29 September of this year.

This  first  leg  of  the  SEA  Regional  Series  highlights  three  categories: First  is  the  Hurricane  Heat  12-hour (HH12HR)  that  will  start  on  03  May, Friday at  7:00  PM  and  will  end  at  7:00 AM  the  following  day. Participants under this category will be assigned a team upon arrival. They are expected to work with their respective teammates to complete any and all challenges set before them. Available only on select Spartan races across the globe, the HH12HR is an endurance event that will test one's strength, grit, teamwork, and will. Only the best of the best remain after the 12-hour ordeal.

Next is the Spartan Sprint, perfect for athletes of all levels—from Spartan first-timers to seasoned racers. The 6+km Sprint may be the shortest distance but it packs more than 20 Signature Spartan Obstacles. This is the only race in the event that will have the elite and age group categories. Spartan Sprint starts at 7 AM on 04 May, Saturday.

Last is the Spartan Beast, the most difficult of the three. The Beast is a test of endurance, perseverance, grit, and mind. The 21-km Beast packs more than 30 Signature Spartan Obstacles. This is the final hurdle to the Spartan TRIFECTA glory. Spartan Beast starts at 8.30 AM on 04 May, Saturday.
